3 Nights in San Francisco: Travel Diary & Day Look Guide
Partager
There’s something magical about San Francisco.
The sea breeze, the pastel houses, the hills that turn your daily steps into mini hikes—it’s a city full of charm, contradictions, and unexpected beauty. I recently spent 3 nights and 4 days there with friends, and every single day felt like a scene from a movie.
Of course, a big part of what made it so memorable? Dressing for the mood.
Today, I’m sharing some of my favorite places we visited, along with the Lunaria day looks that matched each moment perfectly.
Day 1: Golden Gate Bridge & Marina District Walk
We kicked off the trip with a walk across the Golden Gate Bridge—iconic, windswept, and absolutely breathtaking. You feel so small yet so alive standing above the bay, with the city skyline in one direction and the Pacific stretching out in the other.
Afterward, we strolled through the Marina District, lined with charming houses, cozy cafés, and waterfront parks perfect for relaxing with an iced latte.
What I wore:
A soft-blue flared maxi dress that danced in the breeze.
Day 2: Mission District & Mural Hunting
Day two was for colors and creativity. The Mission District is one of SF’s most vibrant neighborhoods—where every wall tells a story, and street art isn’t just decoration, it’s culture. We wandered down Clarion Alley, stopped by an independent bookstore, and got lost in the sights (and smells) of a bustling taco stand.
What I wore:
A playful printed mini dress—bright, bold, and made for city adventures.
Day 3: Pier 39, Seals & Seaside Dinner
No SF trip is complete without visiting Pier 39. Yes, it’s a bit touristy—but it’s also joyful, nostalgic, and surprisingly relaxing. We watched the sea lions bark and sunbathe, did a little boutique shopping, and then settled in for dinner with a sea view.
We ate at Fog Harbor Fish House, where the clam chowder is served warm in a sourdough bowl, and the windows open up to the bay. The sunset was pure gold.
What I wore:
A flowing sleeveless maxi dress with delicate straps—chic but still relaxed.
Day 4: Trolley Ride, Hilltop Café & A Hidden Gem
We spent our final morning riding one of the vintage trolley cars through the city—bells ringing, wind in our hair, the steep hills giving us the best views around every turn.
We hopped off in Nob Hill, where we found Maison Nico, a gorgeous little patisserie with Parisian charm, buttery croissants, and floral tile floors made for Instagram. The perfect final stop before packing up.
What I wore:
A cream-toned midi dress paired with a light cardigan—simple, elegant, and layered for SF’s ever-changing weather.
I wore the Soft Horizon Dress with the Breeze Cardigan, and it kept me cozy and stylish all morning.
San Francisco truly has a rhythm of its own. The neighborhoods are like different worlds—coastal, bohemian, polished, gritty—and that makes packing versatile pieces even more important.
Lunaria’s pieces helped me move through all those vibes without overthinking it.
If you’re planning a city escape soon, don’t forget to bring outfits that let you feel free, present, and beautiful in the moment.
Where’s your next dream trip? And what would you wear there?
I’d love to know. 🌿
